We have over a decade of serving Scotland’s debate, looking to the next decade and beyond.

Our beginning

Founded in 2012 with a clear vision to provide the forum for public discourse on questions on science, religions, faith, ethics and technology, the Albertus Institute has over a decade of experience in helping Scotland find its voice. Our mission is to create a space for debate that is open and invigorating around the most pressing questions of the day. The Institute offers a path for engagement for society with the Christian - in particular Catholic - intellectual community, and offers Catholic’s a path to public engagement.

What started as hope for renewed public discourse had flourished into an organisation that works to foster public debate across the country, facilitates world renowned talks and speakers, and seeks to become the premier Scottish non affiliated public instate.

Volunteers make the Institute’s Work Happen

Volunteers are the beating heart of the Institute, helping put on events, host lectures, and helps keep the charity running smoothly. Consider joining today as a volunteer to help continue the legacy of the Albertus Institute.
